Falling down the rabbit hole

So this month - well March AND April (already!!!) - I have fallen down a rabbit hole. It's called the rabbit hole of no strong will. I have been so good in January and February with my intentional spending exercise. I didn't purchase anything and have spent most of the two months using what I already have. Which I thought was very good, that meant that I have controlled and curb my spending impulses.

Then with the announcement of the Olive Edition TN, all broke loose - I was on a spiral. Seriously guys, I need help. In the span on how many weeks, I have bought so many things that it SCARES me. I am also waiting for the items to arrive impatiently, but a tiny voice inside me tells me that this is it. Stop the spending. Take time to reflect all that you've bought. Ughhh...

Well, here are the items that I'm waiting to arrive:

the Olive Edition TN

So, I initially pre-ordered on Baum-Kuchen's website, and apparently Wakako only received a small number of order this time. Within 5 minutes, I could not place an order. It went so fast O_o haha But, have no fear, I am currently waiting for my Olive Edition TN to arrive from Nomadostore. Woohoo, will post pictures when it arrives <3

TSL x BK Travel For Life Wallet in Passport size

I bought the regular sized TSL x BK Travelr For Life wallet in khaki/navy - with the intention of using it in my regular size. I have always been a sucker for the wallet that Wakako sells on Baum-Kuchen. I have the Essential Wallet (in black and nude) but the only thing that I don't have is the Lambskin Essential Wallet. So, I decided to get the canvas//leather wallet and I love it. THEN, she posted a picture of the passport sized one and I went bats**t nuts!! Of course I had to have that TOO. I mean I have been religiously using my passport for the past month and also this month. It's been super helpful, especially with carrying little booboo's items around. This is a pre-order item and will arrive in May, so I'm biting my nails waiting for this.

Traveler's Company Brass Fountain Pen

Well, what can I say? It is a BRASS fountain pen in the signature bullet-style that Traveler's Company produces. So, need I say more as to why I caved in? :D I honestly can't wait to use this and looking forward to see the brass patina. I love how my brass pen has patina over time.

Lamy Safari Petrol Edition

I have no excuse for why I pulled the trigger on this, except that LOOK AT THAT COLOR!!! <3 <3 <3 I honestly can't justify why I did it but oh well... I did and I am waiting for this to arrive soon. I have been a Lamy fountain pen lover for a while. Some people might not like the shape of the pen and etc, but it's one of my first fountain pen and there's something about it that appeals to me. I have my late father's Lamy Safari Charcoal color, a Lamy Vista Demonstrator, a Lamy Safari in Dark Lilac and currently waiting for this one to arrive.

That's it guys. I hope that I won't be caving in anytime soon and purchase more stuff. I need to rein it all back in and just love what I have and use them as much. Show them loooooovvvvveeeee <3 <3 <3

Limited Edition: Olive Edition Traveler's Notebook

So, if you are like me, a fan of the Traveler's notebook, then you would know that the Olive TN has been released in Japan. I pre-ordered from Baum-Kuchen, but due to a limited amount that was sent to them, I missed ordering through the email that they sent out with the link to order. However, I know Wakako said that there'll be a second order. Knowing that, I scoured the website and ordered from Nomado store with another fellow TN-enthusiast. Hopefully, the next time I post, I'll have the Olive in my arms and will post pictures. *cue voice of Smeagol... my preciousssss.... 😊

Anyway, I ordered the pen loop and the brass pen - might as well grab the whole collection. I remember with the Blue Pan Am, I didn't get the pen loop and the ziplocked insert that they offer as well, and am now regretting it. So, this time around, I made sure that I would not regret this later on.

Knowing that I have quite a few TNs from Traveler's Factory, I know that the question what to do with this new TN has been circulating. For me, I know that this is something that I collect - I rarely spend much on fashion and shoes, mostly I like going out to try new restaurants and places to eat, and stationery. Before, I would hoard collect buy pens and notebooks, but ever since I found out about the Traveler's notebook, I've stopped buying other notebooks. I only use these type of notebooks (with occasional Leuchtturm 1917 popping in once in a while), and also stop buying pens. I'm trying to be more conscious of the waste I produced and find that my pen addiction collection is probably not healthy for the environment. I've been using my fountain pen, and am slowly saving up to get the bottled ink and a converter. That way, I will definitely not produce waste - especially since fountain pen cartridges are made of plastic.

Also, in preparation for my Olive TN, I recently got myself the khavi/navy TSLxBK Travel For Life wallet to use with it. It looks amazing and I was torn in between this color and the orange/grey combo. Upon receiving the item from BK, I was thinking that a passport sized would be perfect. I didn't think much about it, cause I wasn't sure if that was an option. A few days ago, Wakako posted on her Instagram that they are producing the passport sized one and of course I jumped at the chance to grab the orange/grey combo. It was a great thing that she posted it a few days after she posted that Baum-Kuchen are offering the A5 slim size for their Roterfaden. I was freaking out as I was contemplating about getting a Roterfaden and the A5 slim size would be perfect. I'm glad I waited a few days before grabbing the Roterfaden cause I went with the TSLxBK orange/grey passport Travel For Life wallet instead.

This is a pre-order and will be shipped out in May. I am so freaking excited as the past month, I'v been using my passport as my EDC. My shoulder and lower back have been thanking me ever since. With little booboo around, I needed to downsize and I love the fact that the Traveler's notebook is so versatile that it can work with your current lifestyle and its needs. That's one thing that I appreciate about the Traveler's notebook, when I found out about them 31/2 years ago. I have been so grateful that it came into my radar and I have not look at other planners ever since.
